Location and grape growing condition

The vineyards of Southern France lie along the Mediterranean coast. They are split into 3 groups; Provence in the east, Languedoc and Roussillon in the west.

Provence Province has a magic power of attraction. The name alone evokes a yearning for sunshine, azure blue skies, rocky bays and clear water bays. An intense scent of wild thyme and lavender, make us all dream of leisure and carefree enjoyment. Sitting on a terrace while tucking into a green salad, grilled fish, lamb cutlets accompanied by none other that an ice-cool Rose.

Languedoc and Roussilon produce a large volume of France’s good value wines. It was here the first French vineyards were planted around 125 BC on the hills near the Roman colony of Narbo, modern Narbonne, which today produce Corbieres, Minervois, and Coteaux du Languedoc.
